John's talent for crossing stages has led to a unique and diverse resume. Ranging from Opera to French Melodie to Musical Theatre to Rock 'n' Roll, he has done it all. On the opera stage, John has performed leading roles in IL PAGLIACCI, OTELLO, MADAMA BUTTERFLY, and LE NOZZE DI FIGARO to name only a few. In Musical Theatre he has performed over 100 different roles, including Curly in Oklahoma, Ravenal in SHOWBOAT, Danny Zuko in Grease, Archibald Craven in THE SECRET GARDEN, Sid in THE PAJAMA GAME, Lt. Joe Cable, along side Jamie Farr (of M.A.S.H. fame) in SOUTH PACIFIC, and the title roles in THE STUDENT PRINCE, JEKYLL & HYDE, and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Concert Version) in Hamburg, Germany. As a concert artist, he has performed all over the United States from Miami to New York to Hawai'i. He has been the Tenor soloist for many of the major oratories and cantata, such as Dubois' SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST, Haydn's CREATION, Handel's MESSIAH, and the American debut of Paesillo's MASSE DU SACRE DE NAPOLEON. In addition to his CDs "Live", By Popular Demand", and "Opera Passion," John can be heard on the original cast recording of FLAGLER, EMPIRE BUILDER.
This millenium, John was honored by being chosen as one of the THREE AMERICAN TENORS. This title has led to performances all over the world from Australia to Alaska. He has been refered to as the "Mario Lanza of this century" and has won countless awards for his singing and acting, including a Carbonell, two Apple Awards, and the prestigious Grandview Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
